In Pennsylvania, you are either married or you are not. However, as your family lawyer, I can help you create an agreement to get you through the time in between marriage and finalizing your divorce.

Annulment: An Alternative Option
Some situations call for ending a marriage outside of the divorce system. Divorce ends a marriage. Annulment, on the other hand, voids it completely. There are a few circumstances in which Pennsylvania courts will grant an annulment, including:
- When one of the parties is already married before the marriage (polygamy)
- If one party does not want to procreate and the other party thought they would have children
- If one party has a sexually transmitted disease (STD) and did not disclose that information to the other party
- If one party was forced into the marriage
