Where should the divorce be file?
The divorce may be filed in any state / area of your residence, where you have been or any of the party has been residing for more than a year prior to the filing of divorce.
How can the financial burden be eased during the divorce process?
One way to reduce the financial burden is by agreeing on how the property is divided, custody of the child after divorce and other factors. There are mediators appointed by Circuit Courts to deal with any issues raised by any of the parties and the Family Support Service Coordinator has all the information relating to easing the cost of divorce.
Will the person who caused injury to me be punished by the government?
The government punishes for non-civil cases and criminal cases and does not punish for personal injury. There is a form of law called the personal injury law which the court follows to punish defendants who behaves recklessly or intentionally.
How is a marriage defined legally?
It is defined as an agreement between two parties – a man and a woman to become husband and wife. For the marriage to be official and legal, a marriage certificate is to be obtained from a state-authorized official.
